Halloweens Past
Brand New Myxie! I know it’s past Halloween so goblins and ghouls should probably be out of my mind but I was inspired to make a ghastly Zombie so that is what I did…Not too ghastly and more cute though :) I was having so much fun setting up the scene to take her photos too. The background in the pictures is Thanks to my husband’s vast collection on props for his armature films.
Took new Photos of the Halloween Witch, and again, it’s past Halloween but I just got a bunch of fun fall stuff on sale so I had to pose her in front of it :D
Working hard on brand new Myxies so keep checking my Blog for updates. Thank you for reading!

OH BOY! NOW I CAN BUYZ STUFFS!
Added the last of the remaining Myxie Dragon Pals, Steampunk Dragons and Steampunk Pocket Watches to my Etsy Store this morning.
It’s always difficult to get back in the routine of sculpting again after Dragon Con but I’m looking forward to it. I’m getting into the spirit of Halloween with Fall coming up and I have a few fun ideas that I can hopefully pull off before the season is gone. I really loved the Candycorn Dragon a did last year so I was thinking of doing a similar one. I also have a Myxie Witch planned that will be candy themed and maybe another thing or two if I can get them done in time. I have also been thinking a lot about doing some unicorns, I did a few a couple of years back and I’m itching to give them another try. Then there are all the Myxie ideas that didn’t get to make it to this year’s Art Show that still want to be created so I have a full schedule of sculpting planned in the next couple of months.
Keep checking my Blog for the new pieces I’ll be working on. Thanks for reading!

Took me long enough, but I finally got the remaining Steampunk Dragons posted on my Etsy Store. Of the 30 I made for Dragon Con, I only have 7 of the little guys left and they are looking forward to finding new homes. :) Here's the link if you wanna take one home today!http://www.etsy.com/shop/MysticReflections?section_id=12200310
But I loved making these little ones so much that this will not be the last of the Steampunk Dragons. I plan to crank out more this year along with a bunch of Brand New Myxies.
I also have some Dragon Pals left that I will be adding to my store this week. So keep checking my blog and Facebook for updates!

Until Next Year Dragon Con
BEST DRAGON CON EVER!!! This year’s Convention went swimmingly, a smooth set up and take down, thanks to my sister, brother in-law & my wonderful husband. Then almost all of my sweet Steampunk Dragons found new homes, they were a huge hit. A large amount of my Gallery pieces and Myxies were cleaned out as well, it’s going to be so much fun getting my inventory back up for next year.
As always, I loved seeing my fellow artists at the Art Show, Joseph & Donny Corsentino, Adaen Roberts and many more that I don’t have time to mention, but they are all awesome and I can’t wait to see them for D-Con 2013.
I was also very excited that my Charity piece, the fantasy baseball that my little Dragon pals helped paint, brought in the 2nd highest bid at the Charity Auction for ALS. They were very pleased with themselves :)
It was Fun and exhausting and I plan to do it all over again next year. I want to thank everyone that came by to see me and my little creations and made this Dragon Con a huge success!
For those of you that couldn’t make it to the Con, I will be posting any pieces I had left after the Art Show on my Etsy Store, Hopefully this week.

Even Dragons like to give something back
Each year Dragon Con http://dragoncon.org/index.php holds a Charity Art Show auction and so far I have been able to participate in the past three years. It is always so fun to create something and then see how far the bidding can go. We always raise a good bit for the Charity and have a lot of fun in the process. This year I’m especially excited about it because the theme seemed really neat… “Fantasy Baseball” the artists get to decorate baseballs and then they are auctioned off at the Art Show Voice auction with the proceeds going towards this year's Dragon Con Charity: The Georgia Chapter of the ALS Association or better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. http://dragoncon.org/charity.php
So since I’m really loving my little Dragons this year and they always enjoy helping out the community :) I decided they should get to be represented on the baseball. They have painted “Dragon Con” a crossed the front and are currently working on the date…well at least some of them are working LOL
What do you think?
Eeep I can’t believe the Convention is only a few days away, even though I have been attending for 5 years now, I still get very anxious the closer it gets. I will have so many new pieces at my booth. Including the Steampunk Myxie Dragon Pals, making their very first art show appearance. So make sure to stop by and wish them lots of luck :) See you all at the Con!

LET'S GET THIS D-CON PARTY STARTED!!!
Here it is again, Dragon Con http://dragoncon.org/ is right around the corner. So I have been steadily working on pieces to fill my booth and cranking out a ton of my newest (and funiest to create) additions to the Mystic Reflections Family, Steampunk Dragon Pals! These little guys will be making their 1st Art Show appearance at this year’s Dragon Con, they are nervous and excited :)
I have all new Myxies for this year too, they will be for auction in the Art Show Gallery. I will also have Original Paintings and Scratch Art in the Gallery.
As always, I will have a whole bunch of prints in a few different sizes at my booth and then, of course the Dragon Pals. AND Mystic Pendants which will include some other new additions, the Steampunk Dragon Pocket Watches.
So I have a lot of new fun pieces this year and am so ready to get the DRAGON CON FUN STARTED!!! So make sure to come see me at my booth and to say hello to the little Dragon Pals…they will have so many little dragonflies in their stomachs and will need the support LOL :P
Can’t wait to see you all there! Thanks for reading.

Cover Story
So Very excited to announce that I am COMPLETELY FINISHED with the Cover for my husband’s second book, Winston and Baum: and the Secret of the Stone Circle. It took me FOREVER due to the fact that I don’t draw guys that often or guns/mechanical things…and this drawing was just calk full of all that. It was also a bit of a chore to try and color it. I had no idea the amount of effort it was going to take… can’t be exerting that much effort, people might think I’m not lazy or something :P Anyway, it was all worth it because my hubby loved it and now his book is ready for sell. WHOOOOOOOOOT!!!
Winston & Baum is available on AMAZON.COM for the Kindle. So Check it out and let us know what you think :)
Thank you so much for reading.

This one's for the Birds
Good Afternoon Everyone! So I haven’t accomplished much arting this month with the move'n'all but since we are finally getting settled into our new home, I should be able to start on it soon. I’m really looking forward to sculpting again.
Anyway I did find a few minutes of free time (during work, don’t tell Shhhh :P) to sketch a couple new ideas. It will probably be sometime before I can add color to them but I really think they came out cute. I would like to do a few more and make this a small series of pieces. I’m thinking of calling them “Bird Watchers” for obvious reasons :)

So Much yet so Little Time
I’ve been making a lot of progress lately. My husband and I just bought our first House WHOOT! and we will be moving in soon. With all the packing and unpacking that goes with moving into a new place, not to mention the painting and a million other things we will be doing, I am trying to get out as many Myxies as possible before the move. Dragon Con, the largest SiFi Convention in the Southeast, is coming up in September, and I want to have plenty of inventory by then. Even though I have made a nice dent in my to do Myxie list, I still have about 12 Myxies to complete. Considering each Myxie takes 2-3 days, I’m trying to hurry or I won’t be able to get them all finished. I have some really Fun Myxies planned too, Steampunk Witch, Pirate, Geisha, just to name a few. Also I plan on making many more Dragon Pals, including more Steampunk Dragon Pals. Going to try and get at least 2 more Myxies done before June…only have a few more days to do it in too…then I may take a few weeks off to get all the moving and house stuff out of the way. But I’m hoping all of that won’t take too long and I’ll be able to get back to sculpting.
So there’s just a little update on things to come, Keep checking my blog for updates. Thanks for reading :)

Oh that’s Creepy
Hello everyone! I have another Myxie to show you all. She was soooo much fun to make. She’s a little forgotten toy Ballerina, one of the best parts was adding the holes and dirt to her poor little tutu. Then sculpting her some joints and slumping her to one side gave the perfect touch, not to mention making her a bit creepy. Can’t have a good Forgotten Toy without the Creepy Aspect.
As for her seat, from the beginning I knew I wanted her to sit on a little Alphabet Block but I was having a hard time finding one, I just needed one, so I decided to just make it myself. With the right paint, clay can look a lot like wood :) So What do you think?

This ought to Cool things off...
It has gotten a bit chili here in the South. The weather is just tricking us though, I’m sure it will get back to the blazing heat of summer in no time. But the cool days got me in the mood to make a Cool Myxie. Clear Beads give an icy touch to her wings and the frost covering her body is a nice mixture of glitter (YAY, love me some glitter) and liquid Sculpey. I’ve been calling her Winter Slumber, I think it has a nice ring to it.
I have some really fun Myxies planned this month and I will keep posting photos as I finish them so keep checking my blog.

Pink and Punky!
FUN PUNKY MYXIE!!! Almost finished with my newest Myxie. I’m making her all punky, Pinks and Black color scheme and handmade polymer clay boots and head phones…The head phones were a lot of fun to create, I imagine she likes to listen to Pat Benatar, she’s obviously an 80s Myxie :) I just have her wings left to add and then she will be complete. I was thinking maybe some little hot pink butterfly wings would look cute.

Just like Grandma's
I am obsessed with miniature dollhouse food, furniture, dinnerware you name it. I’m just mesmerized by the intricacy of these tiny pieces, some are so detailed and adorable. So recently I have been making my own mini food. The Myxie I’m working on right now is my Cherry Myxie. She is going to have, you guessed it, A Cherry theme! I’m planning a cute hat made out of a Cherry tea cup and saucer, a fun apron over her handmade dress with cherries covering it and my favorite that I have sculpted so far, a delicious piece of Cherry Pie! OH BOY!!! I had soooooo much fun making this polymer clay pie. It takes a steady hand and some great tools to pull off food this small…No idea how I did it then LOL
I enjoyed it so much there should be a lot more where this came from.
Can’t wait until the Myxie is finished.

Steampunk Dragon pals SA-WEEEEEEEET
While sculpting some brand new Dragon Pals last week, I got a fun idea..Steampunk Dragons! Sooo excited about these. I have already finished a few and I’ve posted photos of the little mechanical darlings! Each one with their own little style, covered in screws, metal plating and some with bionic terminator eyes Sa-weeeeeeeeet LOL, all handmade out of polymer clay of course :)
Even though I am planning to sculpt as many of these little guys as I can, I will still have a limited amount and I think they will be a big hit at this year’s Dragon Con. Soooo I’m making them a Con exclusive and only the ones that are left will be posted on my Etsy Store after the Con in September…so if you wanna nab one, I’ll have to see you at Dragon Con :)

New Baby Dragon Pals!
Have gotten so much more done this week than last…probably because I didn’t do ANYTHING last week. I have finished a few sweet little Dragon Pals and hopefully will have a few more done this weekend. My husband and I are moving into a new house soon so I’m trying to crank out as many pieces as I can before we have to pack and then deal with house stuff. My goal was to have my inventory just beaming with new work by this time but obviously it’s been a bit slow going, but I’m still determined to reach it by Dragon Con in September.
Anyway since I know everyone just reads this blog for the pictures how about I stop typing and let you get to looking at the Photos :)

Making more Myxies
Hello people! I have been getting a lot of sculpting done this month and have already finished 5 Myxies with one more almost finished. I’m so ecstatic to be sculpting again, I really do enjoy it. My husband and I are currently house shopping so as soon as we find something, most of my time will be spent packing. So while I still have some time, I’m cranking out as many pieces as possible. Have a few great ideas too…Myxies on my list to sculpt include a wolf and owl animal Myxie, a magician Myxie and another steampunk Myxie…Eeep I’m so excited to get started!
So for your enjoyment, I’veposted a few photos of the Myxies I have finished so far. I hope to have them posted for sale on Etsy soon. :)

New and improved Store
Hello Friends! I’ve been busy the past few days, I had created two Cafépress stores, one with my newest art and the other was the first store I created so it had all my older art in it. Well I figured why not just have the one store so people could get at all my art all the time…I know, why didn’t I think of it before…it’s so simple right :P
Anyway it was a tedious task but I combined my new store with my old one so I no longer would have two Cafépress Stores floating around. So here is the new and improved store, featuring my Newer and older Art, Enjoy http://www.cafepress.com/mysticreflect

Working on dem Myxies!
So I got a bit of sculpting done last week. I’m hoping to crank out a few more Myxie bodies this week before I start adding clothes but I did do a little painting on two Myxeis in particular because I got excited about them and couldn’t wait to get them done. I still have hair, clothes and a few more accessories to add to them both but I’ve posted some work in progress photos for you all. One is a snail, I totally got the idea for her after I was completely finished sculpting her, the position she was in just made me think of a snail. So I crafted her some polymer clay antennas and a shell, then added the paint, I think she looks pretty awesome. The other one is a Raccoon. I’ve been playing with the idea of making animal Myxies for a while, so the raccoon just seemed like a fun animal to start with. I enjoyed making her so you will be seeing a few more animal ones…I’m thinking the next one will be an Owl Eeeeek I’m excited to start on that one :)

Updating my Stores!
I have been slowly updating Cafépress and Zazzle for the past few weeks, I still have a lot of my art to add to my store but I have listed over half so far. Cafépress is a little easier to post than Zazzle so I have more products available on Cafépress but I am still adding to both sites and hopefully I will have them both completely up to date with all my art this week or next. Zombies, Zombies Everywhere and not a Brain to Eat
So I have been working on this project for the better half of 9 months but I wasn’t able to tell you lovely people about it because it was a Christmas present for my husband and he reads my blogs…go figure.
A few years ago he had an idea for a Zombie comic book and he just so happened to know an artist :D so I volunteered to illustrate it for him. Well at that time we had so much going on…i.e. we were planning a wedding…no big thing right? LOL So needless to say the comic book project got pushed to the bottom of the priority list. Well assuming that my hubby had pretty much forgotten about it or just decided it wouldn’t ever get done rather, I thought it would be nice to try and finish it for him, at least the 1st issue. Sneakily I sketched away at the panels the whole time trying to keep it a secret…which I am normally SOOOO bad at and after 9 LONG months I completed his book. Yeah I know that is a long time for a 20 page comic book and if I had an agent he would’ve been all over my case about taking too long but my excuses are as follows…1, I’m not very good at drawing the male form, gross stuff like, oh I don’t know ZOMBIES or mechanical things such as guns and this book was just slap full of that stuff. And 2, I was having to only work on it when my husband was not around, and since we reside in the same house…it was a chore. Anyhoo I was able to complete the book and have it printed in time to present it to him on Christmas morn…Yes, he loved it :)
But now that the gift has been given I've posted a few sneak peek photos for you all…Just a few of the sketches, the cover and some panels. What do you think?

How Time Flies when you’re having Fun!
So I’ve been complaining a lot lately about not having enough time to work on my art. I work Monday through Friday and I don’t usually get home until 5:30 or 6. Then with dinner and making some time for my husband that usually only leaves me 2 to 3 hours a night for working on my art…and that is only if nothing else interferes with that small window of time. A Myxie can take me 6-7 hours to finish, Yeah…So needless to say when it came to cranking out pieces the progress was slow going. But I’m super excited about this year BECAUSE…. I am cutting back on a few of my hours at my 9-5 to make more room for my art. Ohhhh I’m so hoping this will allow me to get so much more done. I will gain about 3 more hours a day for just arting it up, Suh-weeeeet! Also my sweet husband got a new camera for me so I should be able to post photos of how I’m taking advantage of my extra time. Oh I can’t wait to get started!
Thanks for reading and keep checking my blog for updates.
