WOW Dragon Con is here! I will be setting up my booth tomorrow…the hardest part of my weekend. Then it’s 4 days of Fantasy and Si-Fi magic LOL.
Hoping to see all you art fans this weekend, I’ll be the lady sitting with all the Myxies…and most likely talking to them and/or to myself so come by and say hello so I don’t look like as much of a weirdo :D
I will have prints, Myxies, pendants and a bunch more fun things for sell at my booth, also paintings and my new sculptures displayed in the Gallery/Auction. It’s going to be a busy 4 days but I’m excited to get started. Hope to see you all there. Happy Con-ing :) http://dragoncon.org/art_show.php#artistinfo

The Angel on my Shoulder is a Devil!
Here are my last two Myxies until after Dragon Con…Haven’t come up with a good name for then yet so I’ve just been calling it The Angel and the Faker. One is a devious little pretender. Her fake wings and halo don’t completely hide her red horns and tail so she isn’t fooling her Angel acquaintance.
These two are slightly smaller than my recent Myxies, they are closer to the size of my season two Myxies, reaching only about 3 inches.
So what do you think of the little scene I’ve created?

She's Done!
Oh Boy! She Death is all done, finished her up last week and took a few Photos…they aren’t great but I’ll post better ones once she comes back from the Photographer. I’m quite pleased with how she turned out, Very different from the Picture she was inspired by which makes me think I should probably come up with a different name for her…Nothing comes to mind though.
She Death was my last Auction Table Gallery piece, now I just have two little Myxies left and a few dragon pals for the booth and I’m completely finished and ready for Dragon Con…which is coming up very soon, Can’t wait to see you all there!

Stop complaining and get back to work!
Finished sewing She Death’s cloak last night. I used a dark brown for the fabric instead of traditional black, I thought it matched better with the gold on her clothes and Scythe. She actually came out looking like she is part of a Greek Mythology but she still looks really neat. Plus my husband said the Reaper was quite prevalent in most Greek Myths so I’m just going to say I purposely made her like that ;P
Her cloak was a bit of a tedious task because my little sewing machine wasn’t wanting to cooperate so I had to do it all by hand. The cloak is only about a 12x12 piece of fabric but it was still a good 3 hours of stitching…ugh not fun on my fingers.
Her Scythe was no picnic either. Since it is thin it was difficult to sculpt on one side without smooshing the other, so I was forced to continuously flip it back and forth so one side didn’t end up flat…still kind of happened that way though…doesn’t look bad so I’m okay with it. :)
Anyway, She Death should be completely finished tonight so I will hopefully have photos for you Monday, until then, I’ve posted a Photo of her Scythe for you to check out.

Sep. 2nd -5th mark it on your calendars People!
Wow, only a few more weeks until Dragon Con. I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. As always I had a huge pile of ideas that I was going to have done before the Art Show…and You guess it, I only completed about half. I should start making the list and then immediately cutting it in half, that way I’ll finish my entire list each year…Not a bad plan actually. :P
Despite all the ideas that will have to wait until next year, I do have a lot of great pieces lined up for this year’s Art Gallery. Three pieces I’m particularly excited about are my Steampunk Centaur, Masquerade Myxie and my She Death Sculpture that I am currently finishing up. These along with a few smaller Myxies will be displayed on the auction table in the Dragon Con Artist Gallery. I will also have a booth where I will be selling art prints and my new additions, Mystic Pendants. The Pendants are just something I tried out for fun and they’ve been a big hit.
Anyway I’m gonna get back to work so I can have everything ready for when it gets here in just a little over 3 WEEKS EKKK!!!

Masquerade! Polymer Faces on Parade!
EKKKK! I FINIALLY finished the Masquerade Myxie I’ve been working on and I’m sooo Pleased with how she turned out. From her Top Hat and Masquerade mask to her Glitter filled bustier, I am LOVING this one. Even though she didn’t come out exactly the way I imagined, which they never do, She still is my favorite Myxie this year. I was originally going for Victorian Show girl and she came out more like Lady Gaga’s Fairy sidekick…but heck that works for me. So I hope you all like her, I plan to have her displayed in the Dragon Con Art Show Gallery so make sure to stop by and check her out.
Thanks for reading!
