Or you can just call it a Steampunk Octopus. He was so much fun to make, got all eight tentacles too…yes, I counted to make sure :)

New and improved Store

Hello Friends! I’ve been busy the past few days, I had created two Cafépress stores, one with my newest art and the other was the first store I created so it had all my older art in it. Well I figured why not just have the one store so people could get at all my art all the time…I know, why didn’t I think of it before…it’s so simple right :P

Updating my Stores!

I have been slowly updating Cafépress and Zazzle for the past few weeks, I still have a lot of my art to add to my store but I have listed over half so far. Cafépress is a little easier to post than Zazzle so I have more products available on Cafépress but I am still adding to both sites and hopefully I will have them both completely up to date with all my art this week or next. Using Big Kid Markers Now!

I have really been enjoying using markers to color my work recently. No Not Crayola. Prismacolor of course...I’m using big kid markers now :) I had a hard time at first because once you color a spot you can’t UNcolor it like you can when using PhotoShop. I had to get used to planning out where I wanted it to stay white or where I was going to Highlight. In a way it is very similar to Scratch Art…only that is planning out where I want it to stay black.
Mostly I’ve stuck to the Artist Trading Cards but I’m considering branching out and coloring larger pieces with the Markers. I have become pretty confident with them, much more then I am with paint and with Markers I can get the colors to be more vibrant I think. I’m working on about 10 more trading cards and then I will get started coloring a 11x15 piece that I’ve been working on. It is one of my few Si-Fi pieces and I actually took it from a ATC that I did for Dragon Con last year. I’m excited to see how it turns out when coloring it all in Markers. It will be quite a task so wish me Luck! I’ll try and post progress photos as I go.
