Why Hello there 2015 :)

Super Excited for 2015! 
Looking forward to the projects I have planned for this year. I have a whole bunch of new animal pals planned along with plenty more Dragons, not forgetting Steampunk Dragons and Pocket Watches. I have a few more Framed Sculptures that I will be working on and hopefully, I will be able to color the mountains of Sketches I have waiting on me. AND we might be seeing a few of those sketches make their way onto T-Shirts EEP! :D
Also, I have had a lot of you ask about sculpting tutorials so I am planning to do some step-by-step art videos for you, walking you through creating my Dragons and Animal Pals.

Last year I put off some of my commissions, but this year, I should have some of my schedule open up so I can start taking requests again, just message me on FaceBook or email me at mysticreflections@gmail.com 
I am currently working on the art for a fun children’s book, I won’t give you too many details yet but I’m super excited about it and now that the holidays are over, I will be able to put more time into it. I’ll try and post plenty of progress photos along the way :) 

If things go as planned, you will be seeing a lot more from Mystic Reflections. Can’t wait to see what this year brings! :D

Gotham Girls

Finished a New small series, I wanted to add some cute Fanart for Dragon Con, and because I absolutely Love the Gotham Girls, I did Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn (my favorite) and Cat Woman. Will have Matted Prints available at my Booth.

This is what going Crazy feels like...I should know, it happens every Year

Jeeze, Dragon Con is so close now, only about a Month away...Still SOOOOOOO much to get done before then. I'm finishing up a few more Dragon Doodles, Pals and other small drawings, I plan to have small matted prints available at my Art Show booth this year.

I have to get 8x10 prints made fore some of my newer larger pieces too. I will have prints of the Steampunk Snow White and Wicked Queen, Alice's Tea Party...etc...

Also I'm finishing up, what will have to be my last Myxie, a wind up Doll, sitting on an alphabet block, I was initially going to sculpt at least two more for my Gallery, but I have run out of time. 

And last but not least, I will spend as much of this month as I can, sculpting a slew of Dragons, Steampunk Dragons and Pals. 

Keep your fingers crossed that I don't lose my sanity before the Show LOL :P

Dragon Pal Doodles

Have been working on getting more adorable Myxie Dragon Doodles posted for everyone to see. My favorite so far has to be this little guy…who doesn’t love morning coffee :D

Myxie Dragons NOW in 2D!

So this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a little while but just never got around to it.  Most of you are big fans of my Myxie Dragon Sculptures, well I figured that cuteness would also charm you all in 2D  

Now the Myxie Dragons have worked their way into my sketch pad…there’s no stopping them LOL

I have only drawn a few but once I’ve done a few more and colored them, I will be posting them on my Cafépress and Zazzle stores. So you can get these lovable little guys on T-shirts, mugs, bags and much more :)

Also planning to have some 4x6 prints made for the Dragon Con Art Show in September. So be sure to stop by and catch the cutness! :D

This Drawing is Just Right

Another drawing for you today, Goldie and Baby Bear.

 Had such a fun time doing these recent two pieces that I am planning a few others to add to my “Fairy Tale” series. Unfortunately I won’t have time to color them for a few weeks but I will post the sketches for you all. :)

I also want to start on a Nursery Rhyme series. I’m still figuring out what I want it to be, but I’m thinking I might do the girls with stuffed animals. Like, Little Miss Muffet, Little Bo Peep, Mother Goose, etc. Still thinking about it though…not sure how much time I have.

New Steampunk Project

Okay, last Steampunk Dragon for a few days. I’m going to start on a new project for a bit and then go back to the Dragons, in a few weeks.

Okay I’m gonna be working on a few new pieces this week and I am SUPER stoked  to get started on them.

I used to make these small “Myxie Pals” that were my take on little fantasy animals, that might coexist alongside my Myxies…their pals :)

Anyway, a comment left on my Facebook page said I should make more of those, but make them Steampunk…WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!

So that right there is Exactly what I plan on doin, Yes Sir! LOL

I’m so excited to get started on some adorable, Steampunker Pals.

I already have an idea for a few of them. Rabbit, Mouse, Turtle, Octopus….just to name a few. Can’t wait to get started! :D

Really enjoy making these little guys, each one takes 2-3 hours, so I only get about 1 done in an afternoon. If I keep cranking them out, then I should be able to get 5-6 more sculpted this month before moving on to New Myxies.

STEAMTASTIC!

Halloweens Past

Brand New Myxie! I know it’s past Halloween so goblins and ghouls should probably be out of my mind but I was inspired to make a ghastly Zombie so that is what I did…Not too ghastly and more cute though :)  I was having so much fun setting up the scene to take her photos too. It’s always difficult to get back in the routine of sculpting again after Dragon Con but I’m looking forward to it.  I’m getting into the spirit of Halloween with Fall coming up and I have a few fun ideas that I can hopefully pull off before the season is gone.  I really loved the Candycorn Dragon a did last year so I was thinking of doing a similar one. I also have a Myxie Witch planned that will be candy themed and maybe another thing or two if I can get them done in time. I have also been thinking a lot about doing some unicorns, I did a few a couple of years back and I’m itching to give them another try. Then there are all the Myxie ideas that didn’t get to make it to this year’s Art Show that still want to be created so I have a full schedule of sculpting planned in the next couple of months.

This one's for the Birds

Good Afternoon Everyone! So I haven’t accomplished much arting this month with the move'n'all but since we are finally getting settled into our new home, I should be able to start on it soon. I’m really looking forward to sculpting again.

Anyway I did find a few minutes of free time (during work, don’t tell Shhhh :P) to sketch a couple new ideas. It will probably be sometime before I can add color to them but I really think they came out cute. I would like to do a few more and make this a small series of pieces. I’m thinking of calling them “Bird Watchers” for obvious reasons :)
