Fairest Blog of them all :P

Really Love how these sketches came out. The idea came to me, after I did the Steampunk Dorothy and Wicked Witch sketches, to do a Steampunk Snow White and the Wicked Queen. Gave the Wicked Queen a Steampunky mirror in the back and Snow White a sort of rustic looking backdrop with roses. Working on coloring both of these, hopefully before Dragon Con in September.

Also working on a few new sculptures so keep checking my blog and FB for updates.

That Looks Uncomfortable

Started sculpting again last week and was able to finish a new Myxie. I’m thinking I will do a circus theme with my next few sculptures. Anyway here’s the 1st one in the batch, Contortionist Myxie! She was a lot of fun to make, can’t wait to make her some buddies. :)

This Myxie is available on my Etsy Store.

Also, here’s a fun Etsy Treasury for you, my Steampunk Fox Myxie Pal was featured.

Check out these two Etsy Treasuries, that featured my work this week.

Fun concept for an Etsy Treasury, Cream and Sugar. My Sugar Glider Steampunk Myxie Pal was featured in it. Check it out!

Well it’s “about time” they made a Etsy Treasury with clocks, My Tock Steampunk Pocket Watch was featured in this one :)

Punk Angel

Here’s just a fun doodle I did. The concept is loosely based on a costume my sister wore to Dragon Con a few years ago (her top wasn’t quite so tiny :P).
No idea why her outfit popped into my head last night, but I remember she looked so stinkin cute, I just had to draw it :D
For now I’m calling it “Punk Angel” but that title may change.

Working hard on some new Myxie Sculptures for Dragon Con coming up in September, I’ll post photos as I go along, so keep checking my blog and FB.

It's titled "Alice's Tea Party"

This Drawing is Just Right

Another drawing for you today, Goldie and Baby Bear.

Had such a fun time doing these recent two pieces that I am planning a few others to add to my “Fairy Tale” series. Unfortunately I won’t have time to color them for a few weeks but I will post the sketches for you all. :)
I also want to start on a Nursery Rhyme series. I’m still figuring out what I want it to be, but I’m thinking I might do the girls with stuffed animals. Like, Little Miss Muffet, Little Bo Peep, Mother Goose, etc. Still thinking about it though…not sure how much time I have.

Red Riding Hood and the Not so Big or Bad Wolf

FINISHED! All done coloring Red and Little Wolf.  Really like how it turned out.
I’m working on a sketch for another one with Goldie Locks and the little bear, should have photos tomorrow :)
After this, I think I’m done with the new sketches for a little while so I can get a few pieces colored, then I will be taking some time to work on another Book Cover for my husband’s second book in his Winston and Baum series.
Working on the cover is going to take a few weeks probably but I will be posting progress pictures along the way, so keep checking my blog.

PASSED!!!

PASSED JURY! I have been accepted into the Dragon Con Art Show in September! :)
Unfortunately this doesn’t guarantee me a spot, they have so many participates, that sometimes they don’t have the space for everyone. So fingers crossed, the Myxies get to attend their favorite Con this year.
Only a little over 4 months to get all the inventory I need ready for the show, that isn’t long at all, I need to get my rear in gear. Speaking of gears, I will be working on a bunch more Steampunk Dragon Pals AND their New Friends, the Steampunk Myxie Pals, for the show. Along with brand New Myxies, New Prints and New Paintings. So much to do, so little time to do it in. Wish me luck everyone. :)

Steampunk Gotham Girls

Okay so I’m starting on a new little project…a few years ago I did some ATCs(Artist Trading Cards) of female versions of Batman’s, The Joker, The Riddler and The Penguin. Well I liked the concept and thought I would do a larger print of them, AND since I am SO enjoying Steampunk-ifying my work right now, I desided to combine the two, for a Steampunk Gotham Girls series! It’s gonna be fun :D
Anyhoo, I am almost done with my sketch of The Penguin, need the fill in her stockings and I’m adding a border…trying to think of a good one. Hmmmm…
Sorry the picture isn't great, this is 11x17 so it wouldn't fit into my scanner.
