A Few More Pendants

I’ve finished a few more pendants. I’m cranking them out a little slower then I was but that’s just because I’ve started work on some of the gallery pieces for Dragon Con. I only have about 5 more pendants and then that will probably be it for a few months so I can finish some more Myxies.
Okay so in this group I’m blogging about today I tried a couple of cute fuzzy creatures. A fox with a little maple leaf in his tummy, like a Care Bear Heehee, and a cute white Squirrel with a Clock. Then there’s my FAVORITE one I’ve done so far, a lucky Frog. The Frog is all cute and fat, with green, blue and gold coloring, you just have to love him. :)
So What do you think?

Time for a Shout Out!

This talented artist’s pixies inspired the style of my original Myxies, since then my sculptures have taken on a style of their own but her amazing work will always be one of my favorites. The unique creations of Gossamer Glen are by Marchella, and her work is truly enchanting. The faces of these sculptures are incredible. Her sweet, whimsical Fairies seem to have a personality all of their own. Her sculptures are all handmade, one of kind, polymer clay pieces. LOVE THEM!

What's that you got there?

Hey peoples!
So I’m still cranking away at the Polymer Clay pendants. I’m just enjoying making them so much, I can be creative but they take up a lot less time them my Myxies do…don’t get me wrong I love making my little big-eared babies but they take Hours sometimes days so it’s nice to whip out something crafty in a shorter amount of time. I’ve also been having immense amounts of fun incorporating a bit of Steampunk into a few of them. It’s easy, just add a few clock gears and/or screws and Vola! Steampunk! Okay I’ll stop yapping and let you all Check out what I’ve done so far…I’m sure you come here more for the pictures anyway. :)

Juls Treasures

Hey Friends. Today I’m Blogging about a special artist that has just recently come on board the talent train. My sister just discovered her love of creating and NO, I’m not trying to win brownie points by saying this, her stuff is really cute! She has many crafts she is planning but the first pieces she has for sale are these fun, beaded bracelets. Each one she handmade with beads she personally selected…with great care. Trust me, I was there many times as she tediously handpicked each one with a delightful creation already in mind. Her asymmetrical style makes these especially unique. I posted a link so you could check out her work, Enjoy! Also check out these Etsy Treasuries she was featured in. Thanks for reading. ~Caralyn

Give the Easter Bunny a break.

You don’t want to spend the night before, waiting in line at the nearest convenient store, picking up some dollar candy to clumsily hand to your loved one on Easter Sunday…How about instead, get them a fun T-Shirt, coffee cup or hat at my Caf├ępress Store. OH BOY! Ship it right to your door and skip the long lines at the Wally World. Good idea, of course it is! :) Thanks for reading! ~Caralyn

That ain’t stopping me

Dangit, I really thought I had it this time, I was not accepted by Spectrum Art this year. Sent some pieces in that I was really excited about but no go. Well there is always next year, like I’ve said before, I’m gonna keep submitting every year until they either accept me or send me a cease and desist letter…and even then it may not stop me LOL. Oh well no time to cry over it, I’ve got work to do to get prepared for Dragon Con…they rejected me a few times too but I convinced them in the end and now they invite me every year Haha :D So I guess the moral of the blog today is don’t give up little darlings, because the more you pester an organization the more likely they are to finally cave in LOL :) Thanks for reading! ~Caralyn

Fun Pendants!

Hey friends! I’ve been making a few polymer clay pendants recently. I got some really cute ideas watching tutorials on youtube. You can get all kinds of ideas just by searching “polymer clay”, I spend WAY too much time doing that.

Anyway, I picked up these different size clear stones from my favorite store…MICHAELS! I’ve been using them to make some fun pendants like clocks and compasses. I’ve really been enjoying working on them, it’s simple and easy to crank them out and gives me a brake from my other sculptures. I’m hoping to have a nice amount by the time Dragon Con gets here and I’ll have them at my booth for you lovely art fans. :)

I’m working as much as I can on brand new pieces for the Art Show. I will post photos of all my progress as I go so keep checking my blog for updates.
